Project 52 Mission/Outreach projects

The guiding principle for all of our mission programs is based on Matthew 25:40

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."

The goal for all of our programs is two fold. We want to help people with their physical and spiritual needs while providing hands-on experience to our volunteers. Seeds of hope will be planted in the people who participate in these programs. Some people may be impacted immediately and others may have their lives changed forever. Our hope is that God will work in the lives of everyone involved.

Trees to Remember Program (TRP)

Losing a child is the worst thing a parent can experience. As a living memorial to a dear family member lost, we donate trees to families in memory of those who have left us far too early in life. We will plant a tree at the time and place of the family’s choosing. In addition, each family will receive an engraved marker, which can be placed underneath the tree, as well as a certificate to place in their home.

Psalm 52:8 is inscribed on each certificate.

“But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God. I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever.”

If you know of a family who has lost a child and wish to nominate/donate a tree please contact us at: trees@Project52online.org

Nodaway Valley Tree Farm has provided trees at a substantial discount and is a proud partner of Project 52 Inc

Local Missions — Des Moines, IA

Our focus initially will be on helping kids and homeless with meals, clothing and assistance programs. Come spend a Saturday with Project 52 to participate and give back. Look for regular updates on items that you could donate to help this cause. If you would like to volunteer or participate in this program, please contact us at inspire@Project52online.org

Inner City Cleveland

In conjunction with Pastor John's church The Plant, Project 52 volunteers who can donate up to a week of their time will have the ability to teach vacation bible school, deliver meals and participate in other mission activities. If you would like to volunteer or participate in this program, please contact us at inspire@Project52online.org

International

If you have ever experienced an international mission trip, you realize how life-changing that can be. If you have never been on a mission trip or if you have been on many, in 2010, Project 52 volunteers will have two options to give back. Bill Clark will be leading a team to El Salvador to help build a Habitat for Humanity house. Pastor John Dawson will be leading a trip to the Dominican Republic to participate in construction projects to provide shelter for the poor. If you would like to volunteer or participate in this program, please contact us at inspire@Project52online.org

Ask Pastor John

Since one of our goals is to help people not only with their physical needs but their spiritual needs as well, Pastor John has agreed to blog once a week and be available for anyone who has spiritual questions, or for that matter any question you may have. Pastor John is a gifted speaker. While he relates well to all ages, his passion is to reach young adults who are struggling with grief, addictions, loss of hope and those searching more meaning in their life.
